I am Helen Dawson a wife and a mother of two young adults, dogs Luna and Betty and cat Pablo. For many years I’ve been passionate about turning my home into a warm and inviting space. A space where friends and family feel at ease and yet remains practical, and has its own unique, irresistible charm.
Over the years I have enjoyed buying and renovating houses. Each house required a different interiors scheme that worked for the family and utilised the space efficiently. Fabric plays a massive part in making a house feel, homely and inviting. Colour and texture make the scheme come together and if chosen with care you can achieve quite dramatic results.
Now, more than ever before, I understand that true design is in the detail – and this gives me a real buzz. There is incredible power in selecting the right soft furnishings to transform your house into a home.
In August 2019, we bought a prominent historical property in the heart of Burnham-on-Crouch which included a shop. A dream property for me to renovate which started with the shop. The house is an ongoing project which needs updating for modern family life. We also want to keep as many original features to retain the heritage of the building for future generations.
